Rescue The Runway 2017 - A Great Day for Rescue Pups
Saturday, May 13, 2017 was a great day for NYC area rescue dogs. Mr. Bones & Co. Dog Rescue hosted their annual Rescue The Runway at Berg'n in Brooklyn, NY. The event showcased the fabulous adoptable dogs represented by One Lucky Pup, Animal Haven, Badass Animal Rescue, Rebound Hounds and SPCA of Westchester. The escorts on the canine catwalk (should we call it a dogwalk?) were NYC area hometown heroes - FDNY & NYPD officers, Westchester area police officers, veterinary care professionals and a US Marine Corps veteran. They all have dedicated their lives to helping people and animals.
Rescue The Runway draws over 300 animal lovers and is put on exclusively by volunteers. They take the time to cover every detail and overcome every hurdle to attract and entertain their supporters and potential adopters. They even bounced back after losing their celebrity host, Whitney Cummings just a week before the event. But it was all worth it to find forever homes for their rescue pups and raise funds to help countless others.
